Zara had taken a trip out to Diagon Alley. A few weeks ago he owl had passed on and it deeply upset her. After all he had been her closest companion for years. Finally she had pulled herself together to go and get a new one. Since her showdown with Matt almost a month ago she had kept herself to herself.
Walking through the aisles she glanced t the owls but nothing seemed right and she sighed. This was ridiculous. Grimm had picked her. Hooted at her until she had took him home. She missed her owl and none of these could honestly replace him.

Matt walked down the streets of Diagon Alley, His mind lost as he looked around. He hadn't been at the top of his game since he and Zara had had their falling out. He wasn't sure what was going on with his life right now. He'd just wanted to make her happy and had ended up screwing things up beyond belief just by being what he was. He sighed as he looked hard at a pair of trouble makers trying to sell the illegal potions again.
His wand came to his hand and they quickly scattered. He moved his hand back to his side and put his wand back in his pocket as he turned to walk toward the Owl Emporium. His eyes catching sight of something he hadn't expected. Zara was in Diagon Alley

Giving up on her hunt for another pet Zara left the her head down as a harsh wind blew. Maybe this hadn't been such a bright idea. She looked up to brush hair out of her face and her icy blue eyes landed on Matt. It was as if she was frozen for a small moment of time. Looking away Zara turned and started to walk.
She wasn't sure what to say to him. He had been right. She had ended up alone. But she didn't want to have to talk to him and admit it. Zara just didn't want another show down with him right now. She felt rubbish enough as it was.

He sighed as she turned around and started to walk away. He moved after her quickly. "Zara, wait." he said softly. as he caught up to her. His hand reaching down to take hers. "Hey, I just need to say that I'm sorry." he said as he looked at her. Hoping she'd stop and face him.

Zara stopped when she felt a hand take hers. Turning around she caught his words. "What for?" Zara asked him with a shrug. She would end up being the bitch again. Just like before. Things never changed. It was the way she worked and what she was.

"I said spiteful things that I shouldn't of said. Things that shouldn't ever be said to anyone." he admitted as he looked at her. "I just was so angry when talking to you that I didn't know what else to do. I didn't want to let myself change into the monster again." he said looking at her.

Zara shook her head. "I deserved them. I was just so... scared. And no one understands that." Zara told him. She then shook her head again. "You aren't a monster. That's part of you. I should never have called you a foul beast."

He looked at her. "Will you come back to my place so we can talk?" he asked her as he continued to hold her hand softly. Not wanting to let go of this fleeting chance to hold it again. His eyes locked on hers as his face portrayed a small amount of the sadness he was feeling. "Just for a while. I promise it's just to talk." he said softly.

"I don't know. I was just going to head back to the castle." Zara explained. But she saw the sadness in his eyes and the confirmation that it was just to talk and she nodded. "Ok, but just for a little bit." Zara wasn't sure where they stood and she felt slightly awkward with him at the moment.

Matt nodded as he moved toward her and wrapped his arms around her softly. Just holding her while he apparated them back to the apartment. "Sorry bout that." he said letting her go upon arrival. making sure she didn't fall as he did so. "I can take you to the castle in a bit." he said as he looked out the window at Hogsmeade.

Matt put his arms around her and she looked to the floor. The sqeezing sensation took over and she was soon in his apartment. Matt let go and Zara wrapped her arms around herself. "That's fine." Zara told him. "So... what did you want to talk about." Zara felt weird being in his house again. Last time they were here he had turned and looked so different.

He turned toward her. "I just wanted to explain what I am." he said to her. "And what I feel." he whispered as he looked at her. "please sit down." he said as he moved to get a blanket. Her arms around herself making him think she was cold.

Zara moved towards the sofa in the room and sat herself down on it. She would give him the chance to explain to her. She saw him go to get the blanket and said, "I'm ok." Zara told him quietly. She wasn't cold, just holding herself together.

He wrapped her in the blanket anyways and moved to sit next to her. "I'm not your typical werewolf." he said softly. "I'm what you'd call a third generation." he said softly. "I was born this way. As was my father before me." He said as he looked at her. "My grandfather was bitten in his youth and as he got older he decided to not tell anyone and would just disappear for a week or two around the full moon. He met my grandma and my father was born. My dad did the same thing and then I was born. My dad had a gift though. He was able to almost completely control himself when he was a werewolf and unless he was stressed out. He didn't have to leave home." he said as he looked a ther. "I on the other hand have always been in control unless I"m angry. And even then it's jsut an effort of will to keep control." he said

Zara listened to everything that Matt said. She was taking it in slowly and carefully. It was all a bit surreal. "Do you still change on full moons?" Zara asked him quietly. She wasn't sure what else to sau to him. Standing before her was a handsome man that she knew she was meant to have a future with and yet he has kept a massive part of himself hidden. "Why didn't you tell me? Did you ever plan on telling me?"
